I just drove up to the designated parking spot, someone came out, scanned my library card, and then delivered the book to my car. On a side note- my library just recently reopened after being shut down since the pandemic and it was a very smooth process to check a book out. However- it really was a fast read and something perfect to get you in the creepy Halloween mood. This book has gotten lots of hype and while I enjoyed it, I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorite books ever. It was an easy read and the perfect escape. Does anyone else tend to stick their nose in their book too, ha ha? But I did end up starting it and had it read within a couple days. I brought this book with me this past weekend on our getaway to Lake Oconee and was hesitant to start reading it because I didn’t want to ignore my hubby once I started. I hadn’t read a psychological thriller in forever so I was excited when my hold at the library came due for The Silent Patient.
